Prof. Vishnu Priye is currently Director at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Ranchi. Before this, he was Dean (Research and Development) and Professor, Electronics Engineering Department, at Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. He joined IIT (ISM) as Assistant Professor in March 1999. Before joining IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, he was Senior Scientist in Technology Mission Project on Fiber Optic Components, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi from May 1996 to March 24, 1999. Prior to that, he was on Japanese Government Scholarship at Electronics and Information Science Department at Kyoto Institute of Technology, Kyoto, Japan from October 1991 to March 1996. He was awarded Doctor of Engineering from that Institute. He was awarded Ph D in 1990 from IIT Delhi for working in the field of Fiber Optic Communication. He was Visiting Scholar at Electronics and Information Science Department at Kyoto Institute of Technology, Kyoto, Japan from June 1, 2001 to August 31, 2001 and Univ. of Colarodo, USA from June 1, to August 31, 2013. He is author of about hundred professional papers in International Journals and International Conferences of repute. He has developed and patented software EDFAsim for modeling Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers and has also authored two books.
Dr. Amitesh Kumar is currently assistant professor at Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad. He received his PHd degree from Department of Electronics, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad in 2016. He received B.E. degree from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India in 2008 and M. Tech. degree from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, India in 2010, both in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Ritu Raj Singh is currently a faculty in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Netaji Subhas University of Technology, Delhi. He joined NSUT Delhi as Assistant Professor in June 2021. Before joining NSUT Delhi, he was faculty in Department of ECE, Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi. He received Ph.D and M. Tech. degree from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India in 2019 and 2015, respectively. He received B.Tech. degree from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India in 2013.
He is interested in the field of Optical Networks and Silicon Photonics, and his research work focuses on developing and optimizing optical networks and silicon photonics-based devices. He has developed several new models and simulation tools to analyze and optimize the performance of these devices. His research interests are Grating devices, Nanophotonics, Nonlinear Optics, Optical Sensors/Biosensors, Optical Communications, Optoelectronics, optical waveguide, silicon nanowire and its applications. He is Optica ambassador for 2024 and a member of Optical Society of India (OSI), IEEE - Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, SPIE - Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers and OPTICA (formerly OSA) - The Optical Society.
Nishit Malviya is currently a faculty in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi. He received PhD from the Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India. He received M.Tech. degree from Shri GS Institute of Technology and Science, Indore, India in 2012. Before joining ISM Dhanbad, he was senior research fellow in Indian Council of Medical Research Project on Noninvasive Glucose Monitoring Device at SGSITS Indore, India. His research interests are optical communication, photonics, nonlinear optics, optoelectronics device and its modeling. He is also member of student society IEEE, OSA, OSI, SPIE.
Abhinav Gautam is currently a Research fellow in Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India. He received M. Tech. degree from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, India in 2016 and B.E. degree from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogik Vishwavidyalay, Bhopal, M.P. in 2013. His research interests are Microwave Photonics, Optical Sensors, Optical Communication Fiber Optic Sensing, Optoelectronics, and Nanophotonics.
Soumya Kumari is a M.Tech student in Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India. She received B.Tech. degree from Kanpur Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India in 2014. Her research interests are Silicon Photonics, Optical Sensors and Biosensors, Optical Waveguides, Silicon Nanowires and Fiber Optics.
Mr. Satish Chandra is working as Assistant Professor under National Project Implementation Unit (NPIU) at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur, India. He is pursuing his Ph. D. from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India. Mr. Chandra did his M. Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India in 2015 and the B. Tech. from Sri Ramswaroop Memorial College of Engineering and Management, Lucknow, India. He has published 15 referred SCI/Thomson Reuters indexed journals and International Conference papers. Mr. Chandra had been the President of SPIE Student Chapter IIT(ISM) Dhanbad in 2018, the Secretary of SPIE Student Chapter IIT(ISM) Dhanbad in 2017. He is life member of Optical Society of India (OSI) and member of IEEE - Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, SPIE - Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers and OSA - The Optical Society.
Rukmani Singh is currently a Research fellow in Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India. She received M. Tech. degree from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, India in 2017 and B.Tech. degree from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, U.P. in 2014. Her research intrests are Optoelectronics, optical waveguide, silicon nanowire and its applications, Optical Sensors and Biosensors, optical devices.
Shalini Vardhan is currently Research fellow in Department of Electronics Engineering, Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Delhi, India. She received M. Tech. degree from University of Delhi South Campus, Delhi, India in 2019 and B.Tech from IEC College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida, India in 2014. Her research interests are SoI based photonic integrated circuits, Optical waveguides, Optical Sensors and Biosensors, Optical Communications, Optoelectronics, Silicon Nanowire and its applications.
Km. Priyanka is presently a research fellow in Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, Netaji Subhas University of Technology New Delhi, India. She received M.Tech degree from Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur, India in 2019. She received B.Tech. degree from Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur, India in 2017. Her research interests are Plasmonics Photonic, , Photonic Integrated Applications, Plasmonic Silicon Photonics, Plasmonic Optical Sensors, Plasmonic Waveguides.
Devansh Srivastava, a research scholar in the Photonics Research Laboratory at the Center for Nanoscience and Engineering Department in the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru. His field of interests are Silicon Photonics, Photonic Integrated Circuits and Photonic Devices.
Wridheeman Bhattacharya received his B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi, in 2023. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering at Prof. Anuj Dhawan’s Nanophotonics and Plasmonics Laboratory (NPPL) at IITD. His research interests include nanophotonics, plasmonics based chemical and biological sensors, silicon photonics, photonic integrated circuits and devices, and nanofabrication. He is an awardee of the prestigious Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) 2023 under Direct Entry Scheme, in Cycle 11.
Annapurna Kumari is currently Research Scholar in Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India. She received M.Tech. degree from Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior, India in 2017. Her research interests are digital communication, optical communication, microwave photonics, and nonlinear optics. She is also member of student society OSA.
Dhananjoy De received the AMIE (I) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from The Institution of Engineers (India) in 2015. He is currently working toward the M.Tech degree in the department of Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, India. His research interests include optical waveguide, silicon photonics and optoelectronics devices.
Sulekha Singh received MS in the department of Building Construction and Facility Management from Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA, USA and B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Indian Institution of Technology Bombay (IITB). She is currently working as a VDC Engineer in Turner Construction Company.
N Arun Revanth is currently a M.Tech student in Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India. He received B.Tech degree from Pondicherry University, Pondicherry, India in 2016. His research interests are fiber optic sensing, photonics techniques for microwave measurement, phase noise measurement and optical instrumentation.
